DAKEN srl was founded in November 2007 by Giuseppe Lorusso.
Although, the start of its activity goes as far back as 1989, when the company was part of the group created by the Lorusso brothers specialized in the manufacturing of plastic and metal accessories for industrial vehicles.
The experience accumulated in this industry over the years convinced them to reorganize the group in several independent entities in order to specialize in added value products for the industrial vehicle industry.
DAKEN srl main activity is the manufacturing of plastic components for industrial vehicles by injection moulding, such as plastic toolboxes, fire extinguisher boxes, impact buffers.
Thanks to its focus on quality and reliability, Daken srl has rapidly gained important market shares throughout Europe notably in Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Italy and also outside Europe.
In 2009, the economic crisis forced Mr Lorusso to find other streams of revenues for the company in order to reduce dependence on the recession hit industrial vehicle sector.
The firefighting sector gave Daken the opportunity to develop a range of high quality plastic accessories such as fire extinguisher boxes of 6 kg and of 6/9 kg, which have proved very successful.
In the same year new premises of 23.000mq were opened and divided as follows:
- 6.000 mq for manufacturing and warehouse;
- 1.350 mq on three levels for the offices;
- 16.550 mq of external surface for green area and parking zone.
Today DAKEN srl is one of the leading producers of plastic accessories for industrial vehicles and firefighting; a leadership achieved thanks to the constant attention to the market needs and the research for high quality raw materials.
